Guident names four senior level directors

Guident has promoted four new senior-level directors to provide management oversight and strategic direction to the company's expanding business practice. Each will focus on a critical capability segment for the management consulting and systems engineering company.

Kent Schmitt will act as director of Homeland Security Services, with responsibilities for program management and business development efforts across Guident’s government and commercial customer base.

Pawan Tiwari will serve as a director in Guident’s Systems Engineering Division, where he will develop, market and sell enterprise business solutions with a focus on enterprise-resource planning, customer-relationship management, project accounting, as well as governance, risk and compliance practice areas.

John Burnside and Cheri Sweigard will serve as directors in Guident’s Business Intelligence Division.

Dan Ackerman, executive vice president and partner at Guident, attributed the moves to the growth of business during the past year. “As such, we required additional senior-level support to stabilize our management and business development structure," he said in the company announcement.

Earlier this month Guident announced that it had won a contract from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with a potential value of between $17 million and $22 million to maintain and enhance the USPTO Enterprisewide Data Warehouse.
