ManTech supplies Navy center with technical support

ManTech International Corp. has won an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract worth $40 million to supply the Navy with engineering and technical support.

The five-year, single award calls for ManTech also to provide system safety, human system integration, training, and program management support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head Division.

The award continues ManTech’s long history of supporting the NSWC and its many key defense and Navy customers, according to an April 5 company statement.

The contractor has been providing a broad range of services including information technology and assurance, as well as studies and analyses on electronic warfare and related systems in areas such as systems engineering, systems maintenance, risk assessment, and the ability of systems to meet operational requirements.

“ManTech, in collaboration with the NSWC, will help improve research and development capabilities and develop tactics both for training and HSI integration.” Terry Ryan, president of ManTech Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group, said in the statement.

ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
