Air Force names new chief information officer

Brig. Gen. Ian R. Dickinson will head up communications and information activities at Headquarters Air Force Space Command.

The Air Force announced on April 2 the appointment of  Brig. Gen. Ian R. Dickinson as the new director of communications and information, and chief information officer at Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

Dickinson currently is commander of the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., where he commands 12,000 Airmen and civilians, providing technical training for officers, enlisted and civilians of the Air Force, Air National Guard and Reserve as well as other Department of Defense agencies, according to his bio.
