ManTech boosts AF space program with $160M contract

ManTech International Corp. will provide system engineering and integration services to the Air Force under a prime 10-year contract that has an initial value of $15.6 million and a total value of $160 million.

Under the award, ManTech’s services will support space launch operations for the Air Force Launch and Range Systems Wing (LRSW), specifically in support of the LRSW Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program, according to a company statement today.

Services will include enterprise integration of launch and range programs, interfaces with both the EELV and any future LRSW launch systems, and support for the Launch and Test Range System.

Technical support includes systems engineering and integration, mission integration management, systems safety engineering, systems environmental engineering, systems security and information assurance, product assurance, launch schedule management, and launch risk management.

The LRSW’s mission is to develop and acquire expendable launch systems and manage launch integration, mission assurance and launch campaigns, the statement said.

The wing, located at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, also provides range systems for space launch operations and ballistic missile and aeronautical testing at the Eastern and Western ranges.
