GSA sponsors video contest

GSA officials say they will give $2,500 to the person who creates the best video that shows how USA.gov made life better.

A video contest sponsored by the General Services Administration will give $2,500 to the person who creates the best clip that shows how USA.gov has made life easier, GSA officials have announced.

The contest started Feb. 22 and will run through April 2, according to GSA.

The 30-second to 90-second videos should be submitted to USA.gov.

The person who submits the most creative, entertaining or inspiring video will win the $2,500. The videos will be available on YouTube. A panel of judges from GSA’s Office of Citizen Services, the office that runs and manages USA.gov, will determine the contest winner.

“We’re capitalizing on the YouTube generation’s propensity for sharing and creativity to engage the public in a fun and unique way,” said David McClure, associate administrator for GSA's Office of Citizen Services and Communication. “Thousands of people come to USA.gov every day to find government information, ranging from jobs and education opportunities, to benefits and grants. We want to know how this information has helped you.”
