Find opportunities — and win them.

Capgemini has appointed Joe Moye chief executive officer of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC.

Capgemini Government Solutions, of Herndon, Va., was formed in 2002 as an independent operating division of Capgemini to offer U.S. government agencies consulting and IT expertise.

Capgemini has appointed Joe Moye chief executive officer of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC.

Moye previously was in charge of the Capgemini public-sector leadership team in the United States.

In his new role, he will continue to drive strategy and growth with U.S. public sector clients, especially in the areas of tax and revenue, justice and public safety, and health and human services, according to a company statement today.

Moye has spent the past 10 years focused on business intelligence and data integration. He has supported numerous global clients and public-sector entities with strategy, architecture and implementation of enterprise information-delivery solutions.

Before joining Capgemini, Moye was founder and CEO of Gazelle Consulting Inc., a business intelligence services firm in Atlanta. Gazelle Consulting was acquired by Kanbay International, which has since been acquired by Capgemini.

Moye previously held leadership positions with Sequent Computer Systems and Unisys Corp., where he was responsible for leading business units engaged in federal, state and local government work.

Moye’s extensive experience in technology consulting in both the private and public sectors, combined with the company’s government-specific knowledge, will reinforce Capgemini’s ability to serve the public sector, said Lanny Cohen, CEO of Capgemini U.S., in the statement.
