CSC wins tech support contract for USAID
CSC will provide information technology support to the U.S. Agency for International Development under a contract worth up to $200 million.
Computer Science Corp. will provide information technology infrastructure support services to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under a new contract worth up to $200 million, according to CSC. The contract has one base year and four one-year options, and was awarded under the General Services Administration's Millennia contract, CSC officials said Nov. 4. CSC will plan, engineer and implement IT solutions and provide support for the USAID network environment. CSC's engineering tasks will include network and voice engineering, system engineering, IT security engineering, desktop engineering and support for the telecommunications computer operation center, according to the company. The company will also provide support for IT infrastructure-related projects including enterprise infrastructure planning design, technology modernization and future projects. The USAID worldwide network supports 8,000 users in 90 locations around the world, according to CSC. In 2007, USAID officials announced the agency USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives foreign policy guidance from the secretary of state. CSC, of Falls Church, Va., ranks on Washington Technology’s of the largest federal government prime contractors.
