Stanley helps Army update intelligence capabilities

Stanley Inc. is assisting the Army to improve its intelligence capabilities through a two-year blanket purchase agreement worth up to $23 million.

Under the terms of the BPA, Stanley will work specifically for the Army Intelligence Center of Excellence at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. The Stanley team will assist with the creation of studies, analyses and requirements that will help create new intelligence capabilities.

Stanley personnel have supported the Intelligence Center of Excellence and the Capabilities Determination and Integration Directorate at Fort Huachuca for several years, helping to identify and field critical new intelligence capabilities, said Phil Nolan, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Stanley.

The center, which is a component of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, is the Army’s school for professional training of military intelligence personnel. Army personnel who train at the school become members of the Military Intelligence Corps.

The center has been located at Fort Huachuca since 1993, when it moved from Fort Devens, Mass., under the Base Realignment and Closure Commission.

Stanley, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 45 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
