Serco set to upgrade Air Force data into new integrated system

Serco Inc. will provide the Air Force with a range of data migration services under an 18-month task order valued at approximately $24.5 million.

The contractor will assist the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command move data from its existing systems to a new integrated environment and an enterprise resource planning implementation.

Serco data migration professionals will stand up and deliver a data preparation center.

The work will take place in two phases: The first phase will focus on moving Air Force data into a centralized repository; in the second phase that data will be moved from the repository into the chosen Oracle product suite.

The Air Force Data Preparation for the Expeditionary Combat Support System Data Preparation task order falls under the Defense Department’s Logistics, Maintenance, and Supply Support contract.

The work will be performed at a Serco facility in Fairborn, Ohio, for which Serco expects to hire up to 65 employees.
