SAIC wins Navy shore management deal

The Navy organization that manages shore installations awarded SAIC a new contract to provide program management and related support services.

The Navy organization that manages shore installation awarded Science Applications International Corp. a contract worth as much as $70 million over five years to provide program management and related support services.

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk awarded the contract on behalf of the Commander, Naval Installations Command, SAIC officials said Oct. 29. Work will be performed primarily in the National Capital Region.

Under the contract, SAIC will furnish program management, engineering, logistics and financial management services. SAIC will also support Commander, Naval Installations Command management, organizational and business improvement efforts.

SAIC also won a Navy contract in September.

SAIC, of San Diego, ranks No. 7 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
