Camber acquires intelligence specialist Veritas Analytics
The Camber Corp. has acquired Veritas Analytics Inc., a government provider of intelligence analysis and risk assessment services. Financial terms were not released.
Camber Corp., a Huntsville, Ala., provider of cybersecurity and engineering solutions, has acquired Veritas Analytics Inc., a government provider of intelligence analysis and risk assessment services.
Financial terms of the transaction were not reported.
The acquisition of the Sterling, Va., company comes less than two months after Camber acquired i2S Inc., a Columbia, Md., intelligence analysis and solutions firm.
Both Veritas and i2S are now part of Camber’s National Security Group, based in Centerville, Va., and further Camber’s goal to offer a comprehensive approach to preventing cyber terrorism, according to a company announcement.
Veritas’ intelligence professionals offer core capabilities such as data collection and analysis, counter-narcotics analysis, geospatial intelligence, and counter-terrorism support, the announcement said.
In addition, the company’s cleared employee base will facilitate Camber’s continued expansion throughout the rapidly growing intelligence community.
“Demand is mounting for multifaceted cyber security expertise, specifically the ability to assess and address both government and commercial vulnerabilities, and then disseminate policies and protection throughout both communities,” said Bruce Schoemer, senior vice president for Camber’s National Security Group.
Camber was founded in 1990 and was acquired by New Mountain Partners III L.P., a private equity fund, in December 2008.
The company maintains specialist networks in every Joint combatant command, at National Guard headquarters in every state and territory, and in more than 25 NATO or coalition countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
