NCI to install new video information system for Air Force

NCI Information Systems Inc. will design and build a state-of-the-art video information system for the Air Force under a task order valued at approximately $12.7 million.
Awarded through the Total Engineering Integrated Services contract (TEIS), NCI will provide engineering and implementation services for a Multi-Level Video Information System for the U.S. Central Command’s (USCENTCOM) new headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
USCENTCOM is the military authority for the Middle East and Southwest Asia with an area of responsibility that includes 20 nations, according to a company announcement made Sept. 29.
Under the award – the first TEIS task order for NCI – the company and its team members, Pershing Technologies and Advanced C4 Solutions, will engineer, furnish, install, test and provide training for the new video information system. The system will be installed in conference rooms, command briefing rooms and operations centers on the base.
The period of performance for this task order runs from Sept. 16, 2009, through May 31, 2011.
NCI Information Systems, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 72 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
