Unisys group provides managed services to European Commission
Unisys Corp., Bull SAS and Tata Consulting Services Luxembourg will provide managed services to the European Commission under a seven-year contact worth $125 million.
Unisys Corp., Bull SAS and Tata Consulting Services Luxembourg will provide managed services to the European Commission under a seven-year contact that has a maximum value of 91 million euros, the equivalent of $125 million.
The three-member b-Trust consortium will provide a range of services including applications monitoring for the mission-critical information systems used by the European Commission’s Directorate Generals, according to a Unisys announcement.
Services also include applications, underlying software management and support, and service desk and monitoring assistance.
The contract has a four-year base period with three one-year options, with the services mainly deployed in Luxembourg.
The European Commission is the executive branch of the European Union and is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions and overseeing the general day-to-day running of the EU. The commission has 27 commissioners, one for each member nation.
Unisys, of Blue Bell, Pa., ranks No. 32 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
