SAIC provides Navy with broad spectrum of communications support
SAIC will provide communications support to the Navy under a Spawar contract that could be worth as much as $18.9 million.
Science Applications International Corp. will provide communications support to the Navy under a Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command contract that could be worth as much as $18.9 million.
The contractor will provide development, integration testing, procurement and delivery of the Low Band Universal Communications System Program Transmit Terminal Equipment (TTE).
This contract includes options for initial low-rate production and full production, test equipment, production fixes, and training, as well as options for engineering services and spares.
Spawar awarded the contract on behalf of its organizational partner, the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence systems.
Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by August 2011. If all options are exercised, work could continue until July 2015.
