Antle-led startup will pursue fed services contractors

Four former SI International Inc. executives form Salient Solutions to acquire federal IT provider companies.

Four former SI International Inc. executives are going to pursue acquisitions in the government services industry through their newly formed Salient Solutions LLC.

The Fairfax, Va., company will focus on companies that supply federal information technology and engineering solutions, they said in announcing the venture.

The Salient Solutions team is led by its founders: Chief Executive Officer Brad Antle, Chairman of the Board Ray Oleson, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ted Dunn, and Vice President of Corporate Development Tom Lloyd.

The partnership includes their longtime capital partner, Frontenac Co., which together with its limited partners, has committed to create a $100 million equity investment. The funds will support Salient’s acquisition and expansion strategy through an aggressive organic growth program, the officials said.

Antle served as president and CEO of SI International from 2005 until it was acquired by Serco in 2008. He previously served as company president and chief operating officer.

Oleson, a founder of SI International, also served as chairman of the board and CEO of SI International. Oleson previously served as president and COO of CACI International Inc.

Dunn’s was CFO at SI International from 2001 to 2008 and was CFO of America One Communications before that.

Lloyd was a co-founder of SI International, where he was responsible for numerous strategic acquisitions. His prior experience includes operating roles at CACI and a career in the Air Force.
