CACI to support Military Sealift Command

CACI International Inc. will furnish information technology support to the Military Sealift Command under an $8.7 million Navy contract.

Under the contract, CACI will improve, maintain and support information technology systems that the Military Sealift Command uses to operate maintenance and supply processes, the Defense Department announced July 6.

The contract ultimately might be worth nearly $70 million if all options are exercised over an eight-year period, the announcement said. The contractor will perform the work in San Diego and three locations in Virginia.

The Military Sealift Command in Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

CACI, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 20 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
