CACI will support Army ammunition system

CACI International Inc. will provide program management support to the Army and Marine Corps under a five-year contract with a potential total value of $30 million.

The prime contract, awarded through the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract, calls for CACI to support the Army Department’s Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS).

CACI will provide the Army and U.S. Marine Corps with program management and technical services in support of their munitions management modernization efforts, CACI officials said.

By delivering enhanced ammunition management capabilities and integrating applications into a central system built on a service-oriented architecture, the Web-based TAMIS will deliver new efficiencies in developing training and operational requirements and managing weapons training programs.

The enhanced system will also include capabilities for managing more than $16 billion in training and wartime munitions.

CACI’s team will provide program management and a full range of systems integration services to TAMIS administrators and its more than 7,000 users.

The work includes engineering and consolidating existing capabilities, enhancing TAMIS with new capabilities and reporting mechanisms, delivering user training and help-desk support, and providing ongoing software maintenance and development, the officials said.

CACI will also expand enterprisewide business intelligence components and interface them with other current and future Defense Department systems.
