PSI boosts health care IT for DOD Tricare program
Planned Systems International leads a team that will provide health care technical assistance to the Defense Department under a $5.45 million task order.
Planned Systems International Inc. will lead a team that will provide health care technical assistance to the Defense Department under a task order that could be worth as much as $5.45 million.
The contract was awarded by the DOD Assistant Secretary for Health Affairs, Defense Health Information Management System Program Office. It calls for PSI to enhance the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application to improved user workflow.
AHLTA, the military’s electronic health record system, is being deployed on a global scale to give health care providers access to data that will ensure the quality of care for approximately 9.4 million beneficiaries of the Military Health System’s Tricare program.
Under this task order, PSI and its team members will develop, design, test and deliver technical solutions that embrace open systems and service-oriented architecture. The new functionalities will make it easier for clinicians to perform their patient care requirements.
The PSI Team includes Harris Corp., Forgentum Inc., ASM Research, IBM Corp., and Evolvent.
