GTSI stands up health care unit

Find opportunities — and win them.

Company has been investing in health care and is looking to expand beyond current group of customers.

GTSI Corp. has created a dedicated health care unit to drive more growth in that sector of the government market.

The Herndon, Va., company said that the unit will be led by John Aldridge.

GTSI already has several health care related customers including the departments of Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, and Defense, the company said.

To build on this base, GTSI said it is investing in technical and professional resources so it can pursue customers across a spectrum of health care markets including public trust, commercial, nonprofit and religious-based hospital systems.

“Whether viewing lab results, checking new hospital policies, or engaging in consultations with specialists, health care providers must constantly access and share pertinent information to ensure the highest level of care.” said Todd Leto, GTSI’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.

GTSI is selling products and services around wireless technologies, network infrastructure, servers and storage, and power and cooling.

The company is ranked No. 45 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal prime contractors.
