CACI chosen for DARPA program management support
CACI International Inc. will provide acquisition and program management assistance to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency under a five-year, $50 million prime contract.
CACI International Inc. will provide acquisition and program management assistance to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under a five-year, $50 million prime contract.
According to the terms of the award, CACI will continue providing acquisition, financial, and program management assistance to DARPA’s Information Processing Techniques Office.
The office works on cutting-edge research for advanced information processing and exploitation science that create technologies and systems for national security needs, CACI officials said.
The work helps increase the speed and accuracy of decision making for the warfighter and ensure the United States has superiority in areas where information can provide a decisive advantage, they added.
CACI’s program, financial and acquisition management expertise helps DARPA scientists and researchers focus on their primary mission of identifying, assessing, and advancing new technology research and development, said Bill Fairl, president of CACI’s U.S. Operations.
The contract is for one year and four one-year options, and was awarded under the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced contract vehicle.
CACI, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
