White House struggles to bring new tech on board

Find opportunities — and win them.

The White House faces bumps in the road to bring Web 2.0 technologies to the new administration.

The White House doesn’t have the ability to send mass e-mail updates, and text messaging has also proved impossible.

Staff members acknowledge being caught off-guard and are struggling with technology upgrades in addition to sorting through security and privacy issues they didn’t face on the campaign trail.
