North Star to guide FAA to better business practices

The North Star Group LLC will provide business consulting services to the Federal Aviation Administration under a five-year contract that could be worth more than $18 million.
The award calls for the professional services firm to provide expert advice, assistance, guidance and counseling in support of the FAA’s mission-oriented business functions.
Those functions include financial management, management analysis, business, configuration management, information security and subject matter expert advice and assistance to various organizations within FAA’s Technical Operations Service.
In addition, North Star Group will provide program and acquisition management support to two of the FAA’s primary NextGen transformational programs, Data Communications and System Wide Information Management.
The North Star Group, of Washington, D.C., provides strategic planning, project management, acquisition management and information technology solutions to commercial and government organizations.
