Find opportunities — and win them.

L-3 Services Group will provide program management assistance to the Marine Corps under a task order worth $11.8 million.

The task order, stemming from a previously awarded firm fixed price contract, calls for L-3 Services to provide acquisition, logistics and administrative support to the Program Manager for Training Systems at the Central Florida Research Park, Orlando, Fla.

The facility supports Marine Corps Systems Command and Training Education Command requirements to identify, develop and field material and nonmaterial solutions as the training systems manager, according to a Defense Department announcement.

L-3 Services will support the Marines’ Live Training Systems teams, integrated program management, military operations on urban terrain systems, range instrumentation systems, range training aides devices and simulations, field operations, and emerging hybrid live-simulated training environments.

Work will be performed in Orlando and is expected to be completed in February 2010. The Marine Corps System Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

L-3 Services is a unit of New York-based L-3 Communications Corp. The parent company ranks No. 8 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
