Jacobs to support Navy simulation operations

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. will continue to support the Navy’s threat-simulation activities under a new contract.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. will continue to support the Navy’s threat-simulation activities under a contract worth a maximum of $43.8 million.

The contract calls for Jacobs to assist the Navy Airborne Threat Simulation Organization at Point Mugu, Calif., and its various Defense Department customers by supporting existing and future threat-simulation project requirements. The contractor has supported the Navy in this work for the past 12 years.

The Jacobs team includes subcontractors Aegir, a defense engineering and technical services provider; systems integrator Sa-Tech Inc.; and Tessada and Associates Inc. The companies are performing the task-order work under the SeaPort Enhanced contract vehicle.

The award consists of a one-year base period and four one-year options, and it runs through December 2013.
