AT&T answers call from Marines for IT support
AT&T Government Solutions will provide a wide range of IT support services to the Marines Corps under a new task order.
AT&T Government Solutions Inc. will provide a wide range of information technology support services to the Marine Corps under a $6 million task order.
Under the contract, AT&T will provide help desk services, database management, and project management and application support to the Marine Corps Logistics Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) unit, the Defense Department announced Dec. 1.
In addition, AT&T will also be responsible for Web support, information assurance, backup and recovery, and systems architecture assistance. The work will be done in Albany, Ga.
The Marine Corps Logistics Command C4 unit provides enterprise and program-level policy, guidance, and management and IT support services for the Corps' logistics information systems.
AT&T Government Solutions, of Vienna, Va., is a unit of AT&T Inc., of San Antonio, Texas. The parent company ranks No. 38 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
