Unisys gets identity management work

Unisys Corp. will help the Citizen and Immigration Services meet federal standards for identity management under a $1.4 million task order.

Unisys, of Blue Bell, Pa., will furnish e-mail and identity management services to the agency. The scope of work includes the design, development and implementation of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange e-mail services and identity management for the agency's 18,000 employees.

As part of its work, Unisys will help design a user authentication and public key infrastructure process that will enable the agency to meet the federal government's Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 for identity management. The company also will help support the Homeland Security Department's data centers and assist with disaster recovery efforts.

The task order will enable the agency to implement the first phase of its Baseline Automation Support Infrastructure for Citizenship Services program. The work was awarded through DHS' Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions program.
