SRA gets FAA cyber security deal

SRA will assist the Transportation Department in meeting its needs for cybersecurity needs under a new contract.

SRA International Inc. will assist the Transportation Department in meeting its cyber security needs under a contract worth as much as $56 million over five years.

Under a contract awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration, SRA will assist the Cyber Security Management Center protect the Transportation Department, Federal Aviation Administration and other organizations from cyber attacks, company officials said.

The Cyber Security Management Center is the focal point for cybersecurity protection for the Transportation Department and its divisions. SRA will assist the center with cyber-attack prevention, detection and response capabilities.
SRA's teammates on the project are ArcSight Inc., Concept Solutions LLC, Crucial Security, EmeSec Inc., General Dynamics Corp., George Mason University's Center for Secure Information Systems and the Knowledge Consulting Group.

SRA, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 32 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
