Indus expands duties for Jones, Nunn, Bowers

Indus Corp. has announced several personnel moves that add new duties to the company's senior executive team.

Effective immediately, Vice Chairman Carleton Jones takes on the added position of company president. He was hired as vice chairman in May 2008 to provide strategic planning for the government contractor.

Patty Nunn is the new senior vice president of the defense and intelligence sector, one of two new business sectors around which the company is now organized. Nunn has served as senior vice president of strategic programs since August 2007.

Mike Bowers has been named senior vice president of the Homeland Security and civilian sector, the second of Indus' two new units. Bowers was hired two months ago.

Jones is well known in the federal information technology community, having served as president and chief executive officer at Multimax Inc. and as president of Vanstar Government Systems Inc. and Sysorex Information Systems Inc.

Nunn has more than 20 years' experience developing and managing federal professional services engagements. Before joining Indus, she was senior vice president for strategic programs at Karta Technologies Inc. Previously she served as vice president of proposals and production at Anteon Corp.

Bowers has extensive experience in the federal IT services business, including 15 years at Science Applications International Corp., where he was senior vice president and general manager of the enterprise services business unit. He also has served as senior vice president and general manager of health solutions at Vangent Inc. and he was president of Agilex Technologies' civilian sector.

The executive appointments put Indus in good hands, said Shiv Krishnan, chairman and CEO. "Their experience, insight and judgment will be crucial factors in Indus' continued growth and prosperity," Krishnan said.
