DRC to assist PBGC with compliance effort

Dynamics Research Corp. will provide quality management services to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. under a $13.4 million contract.

According to the contract, DRC, of Andover, Mass., will perform quality audits and establish a continuous process improvement program to ensure that critical information technology systems comply with the organization's IT quality requirements, company officials said. It is important that these systems function effectively to protect the stored personal and financial data.

PBGC is a new client of DRC, the officials said. The company also provides quality management services to other federal financial agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Services and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

PBGC was established in 1974 to guarantee the payment of basic pension benefits earned by 44 million Americans participating in more than 30,000 private-sector pension plans.

DRC specializes in management consulting, engineering and IT services to federal and state governments.
