QinetiQ to help secure FBI's Quantico facilities

QinetiQ North America will provide security assistance to the FBI under a five-year contract that has a maximum value of $3.7 million.

Under the time-and-materials contract, QinetiQ's Security and Intelligence Services business unit will provide security management and support services to the FBI's Engineering Research Facility at Quantico, Va.

The contract is an opportunity to provide the FBI with high-quality, reliable and responsive security services to support its essential law enforcement mission, said Michael Stolarik, president of QinetiQ North America's Mission Solutions Group, in a statement.

QinetiQ North America is a subsidiary of QinetiQ, a British defense technology and security company.

QinetiQ North America, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 24 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
