Odyssey to support Coast Guard communications
Odyssey Systems Consulting Group Ltd. will provide radio and satellite communications support to the Coast Guard under a new contract.
Odyssey Systems Consulting Group Ltd. will provide radio and satellite communications support to the Coast Guard under a five-year contract valued at up to $19 million.
Odyssey will supply on-site engineering, technical, and administrative support, company official said. The company, which has worked with the Coast Guard since 2001, will help ensure that authorized radio frequencies are being used, develop plans for radio spectrum, conduct mandatory five-year reviews, process frequency assignment requests and assist field units, they said.
Odyssey also will support mobile and point-to-point communication systems, military satellite programs, commercial satellite communication systems and electromagnetic compatibility between systems and throughout the service.
The work will be performed at Coast Guard facilities in Norfolk, Va., Oakland, Calif. and other locations.
Odyssey Systems, of Wakefield, Mass., is a small business with about 300 employees.
