Dailey to retire from Lockheed

Brian Dailey, senior vice president of Washington Operations at Lockheed Martin
Corp., will retire April 1, 2009, the company announced today.

He will be succeeded by Gregory Dahlberg, vice president of corporate legislative affairs, effective Jan. 1, 2009. To ensure a smooth transition, Dailey will remain in a supporting role until his retirement.

Since assuming his current position in 1999, Dailey has served as Lockheed's principal liaison with government customers in the Executive and Legislative branches. He previously served as chief operating officer of Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, corporate vice president for strategic development and vice president of business development for the former Space and Strategic Missiles Sector.

Dailey came to Lockheed from the White House, where he was executive secretary of the National Space Council. Prior to that, he served as senior professional staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Dahlberg joined Lockheed Martin's Washington Operations staff in March 2003. Previously, he served as minority staff director of the House Appropriations Committee's Defense Subcommittee. Before that, he was under secretary of the Army and acting secretary of the Army during the early months of the George W. Bush administration.

Lockheed Martin ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
