CSC to support Army in-theater communications

Computer Sciences Corp. will provide network communications assistance to the Army under a three-year task order worth a maximum of $192 million.

The Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command award calls for CSC to provide command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) support services.

Under terms of the agreement, the company will dispatch qualified technicians and logistics personnel to provide maintenance for networked battlefield sensors and other C4ISR systems throughout Southwest Asia. The work will be performed using ISO 9000-certified processes and procedures developed for the worldwide regional support centers, CSC officials said.

The new services will support the Army's Product Manager Robotic and Unmanned Sensors and Product Manager Countermine and Explosive Ordnance Demolition.

ManTech International Corp., of Fairfax, Va., is teaming with CSC on the task order, which has a one-year base period and two one-year options.

CSC, of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 9 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
