Pragmatics picks up State's desktop support

Pragmatics Inc. will support 37,000 desktops at the State Department under a new task order.

Pragmatics Inc. will support 37,000 desktops at the State Department under a $99 million task order.

The McLean, Va., company will support State's Bureau of Information Resources Management under the Vanguard 1.0 task order.

The work was awarded under the Hybrid Information Technology Services for State contract and is part of an effort to consolidate information technology at State.

The performance-based task order is for one year and has two option years. If all options are exercised, the work will be worth $99 million.
Pragmatics will provide service desk, desktop and other services across the State Department, the company said.

"With the award of Vanguard 1.0, we will be able to facilitate a partnership with the Department of State and support the goals of the DOS IT consolidation," said Joe Brock, senior vice president of Pragmatics.
