Two win Navy C4ISR systems work

Analex Corp. and Lockheed Martin Corp. have won three-year contracts to perform command and control life cycle support services for a programs office of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego.

The two companies will compete for tasks involving life cycle support services for Spawar San Diego's Command and Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Programs Office in Philadelphia, the Defense Department said Aug. 27.

Fairfax, Va.-based Analex's contract is potentially worth $63.2 million, and Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed Martin's contract is potentially worth $59.2 million. If all options are exercised, the contracts could be worth substantially more.

Tasks covered by the contracts include logistics planning, assembly and testing, system maintenance, user documentation and training, and help-desk support. The companies also will develop installation plans, install systems at user sites and manage site configuration. The work will be performed in Philadelphia.

Lockheed Martin ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.

Analex is a subsidiary of QinetiQ North America. The McLean, Va.-based parent company ranks No. 24 on the Top 100 list.
