SAIC gets Army technical services work

Science Applications International Corp. will deliver technical services and analytical support to the Army under a contract that could be worth $31 million over three years.

SAIC will provide the services to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA ALT), company officials said. Specifically, the company will assist with systems management, systems integration and strategic communications. It also will provide support for plans and programs and modernization efforts.

The San Diego contractor will perform the work in the National Capital Region.

ASA ALT fields and sustains military systems deemed crucial to the Army's current and future requirements. It does so by using domestic, commercial and foreign technologies to fulfill its mission.

SAIC ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
