Global Network continues IT support at Commerce
Global Network Systems Inc. will continue providing professional services, including information technology policy development and technical review support, to the Commerce Department.
Global Network Systems Inc. will continue providing professional services, including information technology policy development and technical review support, to the Commerce Department under a new five-year contract valued at $9.5 million.
The recompete award is designed to address a number of information security challenges at the department.
Under the contract, the Rockville, Md., government contractor will assist Commerce with facility, systems and application certification and accreditation. GNS also will support computer incident response team operations; information assurance consulting and training services; security test and evaluation, including penetration and vulnerability testing and assessments; policy and procedure development; and risk management compliance.
GNS, a small business, has been providing IT services under a contract with Commerce for the past three years.
