Apptis buys Base One Technologies
Apptis Inc. has bought Base One Technologies Ltd. in an effort to boost its business with DHS.
Apptis Inc. has bought Base One Technologies Ltd., a provider of technology engineering services and support, in an effort to boost its business with the Homeland Security Department. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Base One Technologies, of New Rochelle, N.Y., is a prime contractor for management support services (Functional Category 5) under DHS' Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contracting program.
Following the acquisition, Base One Technologies will operate as a unit of Apptis and continue to serve as an Eagle prime contractor, Apptis officials said.
"With this acquisition, we have extended our capacity to serve the Department of Homeland Security and expanded our contract portfolio significantly," said Paul Leslie, Apptis' president and chief operating officer, in a news release.
Apptis, of Chantilly, Va., ranks No. 47 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
