Americom Government Services is acquiring AOS Inc. to bulk up its security skills for network mobility and communications solutions.
AOS, of Dallas, will become a division of Americom, a satellite solutions provider in McLean, Va.
"The integration of AOS technology with our satellite solutions will enable enhanced communications for the U.S. government worldwide," said Tip Osterthaler, AGS' president and chief executive officer. "Operational security is an important aspect of how our customers operate."
Founded in 1998, AOS provides secure, customized network mobility and communication solutions, engineering, program management and managed network services. The company serves commercial and government customers.
"The benefits of the acquisition of AOS Inc. will be reflected in the added value we are creating for our U.S. government customers," Osterthaler said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
