Vangent lands Saudi e-learning deal

Vangent Inc. will provide electronic learning systems upgrades and relevant hardware to the Royal Saudi Air Force under a U.S. Air Force contract worth $13.5 million.

The contract calls for the Arlington, Va., contractor to help the Royal Saudi Air Force modernize its Web-based e-learning program by creating a modern training system that meets all current requirements.

Vangent will provide procurement, installation, configuration, test and delivery assistance for the School of Command, Control and Communications' e-learning systems, its supporting equipment and information technology infrastructure.

The award also includes the conversion, configuration, installation and test of about 1,400 computer-based training modules, equipment and functions.

The 350th Electronic Systems Group at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity.
