Stanley wins information security support deal

Stanley Inc. will furnish information technology security services to the Millennium Challenge Corp. under a five-year, $5.6 million contract.

Under the terms of the contract, Stanley and small-business partner Iron Vine Security LLC will support the organization's chief information systems security officer (CISSO), the company said July 24.

The Stanley-led team will support the organization's CISSO by providing day-to-day information security and systems engineering support. The entity is responsible for overseeing and implementing the organization's information systems security program.

Some of the various information security systems services covered by the contract are intrusion detection response and reporting, risk assessments, security awareness training, and certification and accreditation to comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act.

MCC is a U.S. government corporation established by the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003. Its mission is to work with many of the poorest nations to reduce poverty and improve public policy.

Stanley, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
