SI International snaps up Arrowpoint
SI International Inc. will acquire Arrowpoint Corp., an IT and professional services provider, for $16 million cash.

The Reston, Va., contractor has agreed to pay an additional $9 million if Arrowpoint achieves certain performance objectives in 2008 and 2009.
The acquisition will boost SI's core competencies and provide it with additional contracts to help fuel its growth, said Brad Antle, SI's president and chief executive officer, in a news release.
Arrowpoint, of Alexandria, Va., has contracts with a number of components in the Defense Department, such as the National Guard, Navy and Army.
The company provides customers with an array of services, including IT, program management, business process re-engineering, personnel services, logistics, and engineering and consulting.
Arrowpoint has 150 employees, the majority of whom hold security clearances.
SI ranks No. 44 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
