Lockheed to supply Marines with office support services
Lockheed Martin wins $30 million task order to provide program office support to Marine Corps Program Office.
Lockheed Martin Corp. will furnish program office support services to the Marine Corps under a three-year task order worth an estimated $30 million.
The contract calls for Lockheed Martin to provide the Marine Corps Systems Command's Program Manager for Optics and Non-Lethal Systems (PM ONS) with analytical, acquisition, administrative and logistics support services. The company will perform the work primarily in Stafford, Va.
PM ONS is responsible for full life-cycle management support for electro-optical systems, optics tools and test equipment, and non-lethal and force-protection systems. Those systems include day and night scopes, laser pointers and illuminators, thermal weapons sights, and night-vision enhancement devices.
Lockheed Martin, of Bethesda, Md., ranks No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
