Clearswift names Turner CEO
Clearswift Ltd. has named Richard Turner, an industry executive with extensive expertise in global information security, as chief executive officer.
Clearswift Ltd. has named Richard Turner, an industry executive with extensive expertise in global information security, as chief executive officer. Turner began working in his new position July 1.
Turner, who will lead Clearswift's operations worldwide, most recently was vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at RSA, the security division of EMC, where he had worked for the past 12 years. Other positions he held at the company were vice president of worldwide channels and vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific.
Clearswift's board of directors was "impressed with Turner's experience in our target markets and his ability to help global organizations obtain strategic, tangible value from enterprise security investments," Carl Symon, chairman of Clearswift, said in a news release.
Clearswift, of Redwood City, Calif., is a provider of content filtering and information security solutions.
