ManTech to assist Army surveillance systems

ManTech International Corp. will bolster Army surveillance systems in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan under a three-year, $118 million contract from the Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command.

ManTech will provide numerous services under the contract, including deployed fielding, maintenance and repair, logistics management and sustainment support. The company also will furnish resource management, acquisition and administrative support for unique and specialized systems.

The surveillance systems, which provide the intelligence required to rapidly respond to potentially hostile acts against U.S. and coalition forces, consist of the Army's Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment and Base Expeditionary Target Surveillance systems and Marine Corps' Ground Based Operational Surveillance System.

ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
