Indus Corp. is hiring Carleton Jones as vice chairman to help the company with strategic planning.
Jones has led several companies in the government market, most recently Multimax Inc., which was acquired last year by Harris Corp.
He will work with Shiv Krishnan, president and chief executive officer of Indus. The company provides the government with information technology services such as secure infrastructure solutions, software applications management and enterprise IT services.
Krishnan and Jones will work on areas such as strategic planning, customer relationships, corporate business development, industry partnerships and growth through acquisition of other companies.
"As Indus' growth and market breadth and prominence continue to accelerate, we can certainly benefit from Carleton's sound guidance and judgment," Krishnan said.
In addition to being president and CEO of Multimax, Jones was also president of Sysorex Information Systems and its successor, Vanstar Government Systems.
