Nicholas Chabraja, chairman and chief executive officer at General Dynamics Corp., steps down as CEO in June 30, 2009. Jay Johnson, a member of the Falls Church, Va.-based company's board and CEO of Dominion Virginia Power Co., will succeed him. Chabraja will remain as chairman through May 2010.Bill Donahue has been named president of Chantilly, Va.-based TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. following the resignation of Dennis Kelly. Donahue will lead a search for a successor.Lloyd Griffiths, dean of the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University, was elected to the board of directors at Chantilly, Va.-based GTSI Corp. Griffiths also serves on the boards of Information Systems Laboratories Inc. and JnetDirect Inc.Kirk Evans resigned as Homeland Security Department SBInet program manager. Evans, a retired Navy captain, will take another, as yet unspecified, position at DHS. John Santo will fill in as acting program manager for SBInet.Steve Gaffney, president of ITT Corp., McLean, Va., business unit ITT Defense and Electronics, stepped down to take on a leadership role at a private-equity firm. Named as interim president is a former president of the unit, Hank Driesse. A search for a new defense business chief has already begun, ITT said.Steven Kantor was named senior vice president of L-3 Communications Inc. and president of the New York company's L-3 Marine and Power Systems Group. Kantor most recently was president of L-3's Power and Control Systems Group.Patrick Shannon joined American Systems Corp. as vice president of the Chantilly, Va., company's acquisition and logistics strategic business area, focused on major weapons systems, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and other support systems. Lin, most recently a senior systems engineer at Virginia Hospital Center, now a solutions architect at Force 3, will focus on data center and virtualization technologies. Navy Reservist Bernardo was a Microsoft Inc. Navy account executive. DeSorbo, recently left the Air Force as strategic adviser to director of operations, Defense Department Joint Task Force - Global Network Operations, where he helped write DOD's Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense vision for 2010 and beyond. Hickey comes to the company after 25 years in the Marine Corps, most recently as command and control systems officer and former deputy commander for Computer Network Defense, Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command. Vieregge is a former Army Signal Corps officer and Army Computer Emergency Response Team member and technical adviser.Fifteen acquisition experts were named to a new General Services Administration advisory panel that will review GSA policies and regulations for schedule contracts.
