SI to support Indian Health Services tech initiatives

SI International Inc. will provide information technology services to the Indian Health Service (IHS) under a three-year contract worth about $11 million.

Under the terms of the award, SI International will assist the service, a division of the Health and Human Services Department, implement the IHS IT Enterprise Life Cycle Project Management and Information Enterprise Architecture initiatives.

SI's services will include enterprise architecture, project planning, project schedule development and tracking, and requirements definition and management. It also will assist with scenario-based test planning, earned value tracking, capital planning and investment control, and technical and nontechnical documentation development.

IHS seeks to improve the quality of health care of American Indians and Alaska Natives, expand their access to specialty medical services, reduce medical errors and modernize administrative functions.

SI International, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 44 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
