PAR Technology unit to support Global Grid

Rome Research Corp. will help support the Defense Department's Global Information Grid under a new 4 ½-year, $15.1 million Army contract.
Under the terms of the agreement, Rome Research will operate and maintain a standardized, tactical entry point and teleport system at the Global Information Grid facility at Camp Roberts, Calif. Rome Research is a subsidiary of PAR Technology.
The Global Information Grid is a linked set of information capabilities and associated processes to collect and manage national defense information for warfighters, policy-makers and government support personnel. It supports DOD, national security and intelligence community organizations.
Rome Research, of Rome, N.Y., is a provider of information technology and communications services. PAR Technology, the parent company, is based in New Hartford, N.Y.
