Harris wins AF space systems contract
The award calls for Harris and its partners to manage multiple space control systems for the Space and Missile Systems Center's Space Superiority Systems Wing at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
Harris Corp. will provide the Air Force with supply depot and engineering services under a 10-year contract worth more than $40 million.

The Space Superiority Systems Wing designs and operates space control systems, including situational awareness capabilities the United States uses for superiority in space.
Harris' National Intelligence Programs unit will direct the work with on-site support from the company's information technology services unit. Harris' teammates on the program include General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems of Santa Clara, Calif.; TMC Design Corp. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and L-3 Technical Management Services Division of Albuquerque, N.M.
Harris of Melbourne, Fla., ranks No. 21 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
